Join 90 of the finest 3rd-, 4th- and 5th-grade singers from Wicomico County Public Schools for a concert at 2 p.m. in the Wicomico High School Auditorium. Join the ACES Choir (ACES = All-County Elementary Schools with intermediate grades) to Travel All Around the USA," under the direction of Ms. Brown of Willards Elementary and Ms. Rush of Delmar Elementary with accompaniment by Mr. Evans of Northwestern Elementary. You'll love the musical tour on which our student singers will lead you, in sings learned and refined through weeks of practice.

Important reminder: Monday, March 16 is now a school day with 3-hour early dismissal. This makes up the first of three days missed due to winter weather conditions. (The other two makeup days, also with 3-hour early dismissal, are on April 2 -- with April 1 now a full school day -- and June 12. ) March 16 is no longer a staff professional day, as shown on the original approved calendar..

Due to inclement weather conditions, Wicomico County Public Schools will have a 90-minute delay on Monday, March 9th. Breakfast will not be served. Schools share additional details about the day's schedule if needed. Please be safe.

Families, with inclement weather anticipated to come to Wicomico County toward the end of the weekend/beginning of the week, we have a quick update.
Today, Friday, February 27th, students in grades 1-4 will bring home their laptops, chargers, and any other resources that they may need if Wicomico County would need to move to a virtual learning model. For students in PreK and Kindergarten, learning packets will be sent home with students today as well. This is a precautionary measure in case WCPS students are out of school. If we need to switch to virtual learning it would be beginning Monday. Also, families, please check your students' bookbag as 3rd term Midterm reports were sent home today. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school office at 410-677-5178.

Reminder: Mid-term progress reports for the 3rd Marking Term come out Feb. 27. Be sure to review the student's progress report with the student and discuss expectations for the rest of the marking term and school year.

This is important information about a revision to the approved 2025-2026 school year calendar to make up a day lost to winter weather last month.
During the Board of Education meeting on Feb. 10, the school system announced a revision to the approved calendar to use one of the designated make-up days. Students of Wicomico County Public Schools will now have school on Monday, March 16th, with 3-hour early dismissal. March 16th is no longer a staff professional day.
The revised calendar is posted in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole on the Calendar page of the school system’s website. Please make sure to use this updated calendar -- with a date of Feb, 10, 2026 in the bottom right corner and March 16th shown as a school day with early dismissal -- as the school year continues.

The Wicomico County Board of Education will hold a public budget hearing at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10 in the Board Auditorium at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury. All are invited to attend to give input for next year's school system budget.
