For the week of Nov. 17 - Nov. 21, our attendance rose to once again meet the MD proficiency standard with 94.32% attendance.
Fourth grade was the winning grade level for the week with the highest attendance at 96.02%. Way to go 4th grade!
Mrs. Short's fourth grade class was the Most Improved with an increase of 7.2%!

For the week of Nov. 3 to Nov. 7 we continued to meet the MD proficiency standard for attendance with 94.47% of students attending. Kindergarten was the top grade level with 95.44% attendance. The Most Improved Attendance for the school was Mrs. Chew's Kindergarten class with an 9.9% increase from 87.02% to 96.92% - WAY TO GO!
For the week of Nov. 10 to Nov. 14, we dipped below the MD proficiency standard for the first time this school year with attendance being at 93.96%. First grade was the top grade level with 95.89% attendance. The Most Improved Attendance for the school was Mrs. Culver's Kindergarten class with a 6.25% increase from the previous week!

This keeps us within the Maryland State Proficiency standard for attendance. We want to see it get back up above 96%!
Fourth grade took the top spot among the grade levels last week, 95.83%.

11/10 for PK-2nd & 11/11 for 3rd - 4th.
To attend, students must meet the following criteria:
- 2 or less UNEXCUSED Absences
- 2 or less UNEXCUSED Tardies
- 2 or less UNEXCUSED Dismissals
If students have 3 or more in any of the above areas, they will not participate.
The attendance incentive for Term 1 is Extra Recess.
In the event of inclement weather, this incentive will be rescheduled for 11/13 (PK-2) and 11/14 (3rd/4th).

For the week of 10/20-10/24, our schoolwide attendance increased to 94.93%!
This continues to keep us within Maryland's Proficiency Standard!

The first Superintendent's Open Door Session of the 2025-2026 school year will take place from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29. Time with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Micah Stauffer is on a first-come, first-served basis, at the school system's main office at 2424 Northgate Drive, Salisbury.
Reminders: The 1st marking term will end Thursday, Oct. 30. On Friday, Oct. 31, schools have a professional day for staff, and students do not attend.
